As Vietnam’s textile and garment exports surge toward a projected US$46 billion in 2025, the spotlight is set to turn to Hanoi this February as the Vietnam International Trade Fair for Apparel, Textiles and Textile Technologies (VIATT) 2026 unveils a landmark addition a debut German Pavilion designed to deepen Europe–Asia textile collaboration. Scheduled from February 26–28 2026, the third edition of VIATT arrives at a pivotal moment for the region, positioning itself as a catalyst for digital transformation, green transition and high-value manufacturing across the textile value chain.

Vietnam’s textile sector, a cornerstone of its economic growth, is forecast to expand 5.6 percent year-on-year, reinforcing the country’s standing as a key sourcing hub in ASEAN. Against this backdrop, VIATT 2026 will gather seven country and regional pavilions from China, Germany, Europe, India, Japan, Taiwan and Türkiye covering Apparel fabrics & Fashion, Home & Contract Textiles, and technical textiles & Technologies.

The newly introduced German Pavilion will spotlight engineering excellence and sustainable innovation. Exhibitors such as MUEHLMEIER Bodyshaping and Karl Conzelmann will showcase premium lingerie and knitwear expertise, while Dalat Worsted Spinning of the Suedwolle Group reflects long-standing European manufacturing investment in Vietnam. In Home textiles, brands like Huegin-Trietex and Paradies will highlight advanced sun protection systems and sustainable bedding solutions. On the technology front, global leaders including Lindauer DORNIER, ZSK Stickmaschinen and Georg Sahm will present cutting-edge weaving, embroidery and winding systems tailored for high-performance and technical applications.

Adding further weight, the India Pavilion organised by TEXPROCIL will return with 21 companies promoting export-ready cotton textiles and the traceable Kasturi Cotton initiative signalling India’s push toward branded, certified fibre leadership.

Beyond the exhibition halls, VIATT’s fringe programme will host high-level forums including TGIS 2026 and the textile industry Exchange, tackling AI adoption, sustainability compliance, EU ecodesign rules and global tariff uncertainties.

Organised by Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd and VIETRADE, VIATT 2026 is poised not merely as a trade fair, but as a strategic bridge linking European technology with Asia’s manufacturing dynamism strengthening supply partnerships and shaping the next chapter of sustainable textile growth.
